Community Outreach Activities

CCBA members are invited to participate in planned activities to help the community at large in southern Nevada.

CCBA Volunteers at Project 150

  • Why: Group activity to benefit homeless teenagers served by the Project 150. Project 150 is a local non-profit with a mission to offer free support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students in the Southern Nevada area so they can remain in school and graduate.
  • When: Saturday, Apr. 6, 2024, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Where: Project 150, 3600 N. Rancho Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89130
  • What: Volunteers will help with:
    • Making food bags
    • Sorting donations
    • Restocking Betty’s Boutique
    • Activities are determined by the needs of the day 
  • Who: CCBA members and the family members may volunteer.* Minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old. Volunteers ages 10-13 require guardian.
  • Mandatory Dress Code: Comfortable shirt, pants, and closed-toe shoes.

Law Day Activities

The CCBA is recruiting Nevada lawyers to volunteer at the legal resource fair at Nellis AFB on May 1, 2024. Also, the CCBA will host continuing legal education programs for USAF legal personnel and CCBA members to take place via webcast. Topics for the CLEs will be related to family law and landlord tenant law, and immigration matters relevant to Nevada.

CCBA members and Nevada lawyers who are interested in participating should contact the CCBA office at 702-387-6011 for more information.

Senior Law Program’s Will-A-Thon

Volunteers are needed to help the CCBA’s Community Service Committee at a group activity to provide pro bono services to senior citizens served by the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP). For more information and to volunteer, complete the form below.

  • When: Wednesday, June 12, 2024, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Where: East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101
  • Who: Nevada lawyers
  • Note: Volunteer attorneys will need to pre-register and take the CLE training in advance of the event. The CLE training will be held in person at SLP’s office and via Zoom on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
