On December 29, 2020, the Supreme Court of Nevada filed an order in the matter of the creation of a commission on statewide rules of criminal procedure. See Order Adopting Statewide Rules of Criminal Practice, ADKT 0491.

The 31-page order includes the recommendations of the Commission on Statewide Rules of Criminal Procedure, the amended statewide rules of criminal practice (see Exhibit A), and instructions for the state’s district courts to submit for approval of any amendments to the local court’s rules necessary to conform their rules to the adopted statewide rules of criminal procedure by June 30, 2021.
