ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT:

The Rebel Trojan is the first AMTA format trial advocacy competition to come to Nevada. Appropriately, it is co-hosted by UNLV. Students from colleges and universities around the nation compete against each other at the Rebel Trojan by presenting either the Prosecution or Defense side of a mock case. Each side will present an Opening Statement, Direct & Cross Examination of 3 Prosecution witnesses and 3 Defense witnesses, and Closing Arguments.

THIS YEAR, the students will present either the Plaintiff or Defense side in the civil case of Felder v. KC Air, LLC. Here’s a teaser:

On July 4, 2021, attorney Morgan Felder joined pilot Reese Campbell for a flight over Basin Lake. After departing the Rapid River Valley Airfield, the aircraft deviated from its planned route and eventually crashed into the nearby Mount McIntosh. There were no survivors. Ari Felder—Morgan’s spouse—has brought a negligence suit against Koller Campbell Air LLC, the company that owned the aircraft.

Negligence is the claim. Whose fault is the crash? Will Ari Felder recover … anything?

*** We welcome practitioners and judges with civil and/or criminal experience.

For our participating students to compete effectively at national tournaments, and in the future provide excellent representation to clients, the benefit of your guidance is essential. We must fill approximately 216 (two hundred sixteen) judging slots. WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP!
