Judge Schifalacqua was unanimously appointed in 2023 as the first female Justice of the Peace in the history of Henderson.  She was then elected in 2024, in her primary election, and is currently seeking her re-election.  Judge Schifalacqua has dedicated her entire legal career (over 19 years) to public service. She has lived in Henderson for over 20 years and cares deeply about her community.

In 2007, Judge Schifalacqua started her legal career as a Deputy District Attorney with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office.  There she obtained vast courtroom experience handling thousands of cases.  In 2012, she was promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney, and served in the Gang Unit, the Special Victims Unit (focusing on Sex Trafficking Prosecutions), and the Case Assessment Unit.  She has extensive trial experience.

After dedicating over 15 years to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, she was appointed as a Hearing Master in the Eighth Judicial District Court – handling Domestic Violence Protective Orders for all of Clark County.  There she managed a heavy caseload, heard testimony, took in evidence, and issued orders.
