2026 Judicial Candidate: Trent L. Richards

Candidate for Justice of the Peace, Henderson Township, Department 4
  • Name: Trent L. Richards
  • Office Sought: Justice of the Peace, Henderson Township, Department 4
  • Website: www.Trent4Judge.com

My name is Trent Richards and I am pleased to be running for Henderson Township Justice Court Department 4. Practicing law was not my first career in life, but has become one of the most rewarding and enjoyable in which I continue to strive for growth and excellence.

I relocated to Nevada from Utah in 2003. Prior to practicing law, I served in the United States Marine Corps from 1997 until 2003 with Fox Co. 2nd Bn, 23rd Marines. My experience in the Marine Corps greatly shaped my personality and traits; instilling in me discipline, honor, and commitment, which I bring to the judicial process. I also worked in the construction industry for several years, both before and after my service in the Marines. I know what it means to serve, I know what it means to labor long hours, and I ask for your support to help me continue serving our community as a justice of the peace.

I am a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rated lawyer and one of the founders of Sagebrush Lawyers. I have been serving the Henderson Justice Court community since 2022 as a judge pro tem. I am deeply familiar with the processes, procedures and operation of the Henderson Justice Court, and my addition to the court as a regular full-time judge will help to enhance the services the Henderson Justice Court provides to the community. I likewise enjoy serving as an arbitrator when appointed by the Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program, and have handled more than 40 matters through arbitration hearing and decision.

For these reasons, and many others, I believe I stand apart from my peers in education, experience, personality and character traits which abundantly qualify me as a court justice. I encourage you to visit me online at www.trent4judge.com for further information.
