Las Vegas Municipal Court Order Suspends In-Person Court Appearances Through December 31, 2020

The LVMC will accept court filings and continued to operate managing cases within the parameters set forth in the order.

On November 23, 2020, Chief Judge Cynthia Leung of the Las Vegas Municipal Court (LVMC) filed a judicial/administrative order in the matter of the LVMC procedures regarding Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). See Judicial Order 2.55 (JO-2.55); see below for a PDF file to download:

The LVMC will accept court filings and continued to operate managing cases within the parameters set forth in the order. Additionally, the court has suspended in-person court appearances beginning November 24, 2020, through December 31, 2020, due to COVID-19.

The LVMC’s JO-2.55 will supersede and rescind prior Administrative Orders 2.48, 2.48 Amended, 2.49, 2.50, 2.51, 2.52, 2.53, and 2.54. JO-2.55 shall continue until January 1, 2021 or until modified and/or rescinded by a subsequent order.

All court filings will be accepted electronically via email at municourtmotions@lasvegasnevada.gov. Updated information regarding LVMC cases, court dates and/or operations is accessible online at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/government/municipal-court/ and/or by telephone at 702-229-5257.
