This CLE will cover some basic precautions lawyers must take in the present day to ensure basic security for themselves, their employees, their clients, their facilities, and their information, both physical and electronic. This information is not exhaustive, but suggestive, intended to begin a process by which lawyers take responsibility for at least basic security procedures necessary in an increasingly dangerous world, and will touch on office layout, procedures, security products and add-ons, cameras, physical barriers, basic electronic and encryption steps, communications, insurance, and firearms. Group participation, and ideas, will be welcome.
