Communiqué Content Proposals Due Jan. 9, 2024

CCBA members are invited to submit proposals to write content for upcoming issues of Communiqué.

CCBA members are invited to submit proposals to write content for upcoming issues of Communiqué. Content must be on topic and original, unpublished works written by the attorney(s) listed in the byline and specifically for publication in the Communiqué.

Proposals should include the following information:

  • Topic and summary paragraph providing the focus and scope for content (including relevant rules/statutes/procedures, etc.)
  • Author(s) name(s), Nevada bar number(s), short biographical statement
  • Proposed issue for publication – Select from the editorial calendar below:
    • March 2024 – Criminal Law
    • April 2024 – Technology in Practice
    • May 2024 – Ethics
    • June/July* 2024 – Membership Matters
    • August 2024 – Education Law
    • September 2024 – Labor & Employment Law
    • October 2024 – Law of Medicine
    • November 2024 – Constitutional Law
    • December 2024 – Pro Bono

Send proposals to StephanieAbbott@clarkcountybar.org by January 9, 2024. Proposals will be forwarded to members of the editorial board for review. The editors will review proposals at their next available meeting; meetings are held on the second Friday of the month (typically). They meet next on January 12, 2024.

Space will be limited and priority will be given to articles and content submitted by active CCBA members (i.e., paid for the 2024 membership year). Not a current member? Join or renew a CCBA membership for 2024 now!

All authors must follow the guidelines for composition and submission of content as noted in the Communiqué Editorial Policy (PDF). 

*The combined June/July issue will be released in June. The editorial calendars, schedules, editorial policies, and writer’s guidelines for the Communiqué are subject to change without notice.
