On July 31, 2024, Chief Judge Jerry Wiese of the Eighth Judicial District Court (EJDC) signed an order in the administrative matter of reassigning medical malpractice court cases at the largest general jurisdiction trial court in Nevada. See Administrative Order 24-03.
Per Administrative Order 24-03:
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, pursuant to EDCR 1.30(b), effective August 12, 2024, fifty-seven medical malpractice cases currently assigned to Department 8 will be reassigned to Department 1, Department 7, Department 15, Department 20, Department 21 and Department 25, as set out below[.]”
