Public Statement in Response to Tragic Shooting at Law Office on April 8, 2024

The Clark County Bar Association is truly saddened by the tragic loss of life from the shootings at the law firm in southern Nevada yesterday.

The Clark County Bar Association is truly saddened by the tragic loss of life from the shootings at the law firm in southern Nevada yesterday. Our thoughts go out to the bar members’ families, friends, and those who loved them.

The CCBA encourages all bar members affected by this tragedy to seek support for their mental health. The Clark County Bar Association is organizing a Continuing Legal Education program for lawyer training about mental health, suicide prevention and how to help.

Right now, Nevada lawyers can take advantage of the resources offered by the State Bar of Nevada which include therapy sessions and trauma response counseling.
