On February 6, 2023, Chief Judge Cynthia Cruz order in the administrative matter guidelines for case assignment transfers was filed in the Las Vegas Justice Court. See Administrative Order 23-02 (PDF).
The two-page order cites Las Vegas Justice Court Rule 6.5 and states:
“IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, ADJUDGED, and DECREED that in the interests of judicial economy and to prevent the delay of justice, a Justice of the Peace may retain cases previously assigned to them if said cases are being reassigned under a categorical caseload reassignment and said cases involve complex issues or the Justice of the Peace has done substantive work.”
