Pop-Up Vaccine Site at RJC on Aug. 17, 2021

The Clark County Fire and the Office of Emergency Management will be hosting a vaccination clinic in the Regional Justice Center at 200 Lewis Ave in downtown Las Vegas, on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. It is scheduled to run from 8:00am to 11:00am in Classroom A on the 4th floor.

Las Vegas Justice Court Order Affects Customer Service Hours, Deadlines

Per the order, “the customer-service hours of the Las Vegas Justice Court will be from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the exception of holidays declared by state law.” dditionally, the court orders that “Friday is deemed a judicial day for the purposes of the computation of time in accordance with JCRCP 6 or any other deadlines to take action as set forth in any Nevada Revised Statute.”

Revised Rules of Practice for Las Vegas Justice Court

On July 22, 2021, the Supreme Court of Nevada signed an order in the matter of the amendment, repeal, and enactment of certain rules for the Las Vegas Justice Court. See ADKT 0583. The rule changes will become effective in 60 days from the date of the order.

Masks Required (Again) at Clark County Courts

Effective immediately, mandatory face coverings are required at all court facilities in Clark County, Nevada.

LVJC Judges’ Meeting Scheduled for July 14, 2021

The next Las Vegas Justice Court (LVJC) Judges’ Meeting (Open/Closed) is scheduled for July 14, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in Courtroom 1A at the Regional Justice Center in downtown Las Vegas. This is an in-person meeting.

Las Vegas Justice Court Order Rescinds Previously Mandated Appearances for Virtual Court Sessions

AO #21-06 orders “that the sections of Administrative Order #21-03 mandating appearances for virtual court session through BlueJeans or telephonic appearance for all counsel, parties and witnesses is now rescinded.

Las Vegas Justice Court Admin Order #21-05 Effective Immediately

On 5/27/2021, the Las Vegas Justice Court ordered to rescind Administrative Order #20-13 and Administrative Order #21-14. See Administrative Order #21-05.

Las Vegas Justice Court Order #21-03 Effective April 1, 2021

The order cites the state’s restrictions on gatherings and updates court procedures related to a variety of court procedures, including virtual court sessions and unlawful detainer civil actions.

Las Vegas Justice Court Orders Temporary Procedures in Civil Cases

Effective January 4, 2021, the order provides information on how the court will maximize virtual court sessions through BlueJeans or telephonic appearances. Additionally, the order modifies procedures for unlawful detainer civil actions and summary eviction actions.
