This morning, our IT provider highlighted a scam attempt being sent via email. It was caught by their security software. It looks like a scammer is using my email address to send out a phishing scam with a ransomware attack.
I did NOT send it. It looks like what the FTC calls a business email imposter.
Do NOT open any email or click on links unless you are certain it is not spam. Do not share any personal information through email or text.
Knowledge is the key to prevention. Educate yourself about threats to individuals and business and ways to protect yourself.
