Eighth Judicial District Court Administrative Order 23-03

On March 21, 2023, the Eighth Judicial District Court filed an order in the administrative matter of department reassignments. See Administrative Order 23-03. The order reassigns cases in the court as follows:

“Pursuant to the Chief Judge’s authority under EDCR 1.30(b) and NRS 3.025, and Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo’s recent judicial appointments, the following department assignments are implemented:

  • Effective March 20, 2023, Judge Danielle “Pieper” Chio will preside over Department 7. Department 7 will retain the existing caseload assigned to that department.
  • Effective March 20, 2023, Judge Jacob A. Reynolds will preside over Department 29. Department 29 will retain the existing caseload assigned to that department.
  • Approximately 3% (three percent) of existing civil domestic cases will be randomly reassigned to Department C effective March 20, 2023, resulting in a full civil domestic caseload for Department C.
  • Effective March 27, 2023, Judge Paul Gaudet will preside over Department N. Department N will retain the existing caseload assigned to that department.
  • Effective March 27, 2023, Judge Regina McConnell will preside over Department O. Department O will retain the existing caseload assigned that department.”
